Why You Should Plan Your Christmas Party in Advance
Planning Your Christmas Party in Advance
It might be the last thing on your mind in the Summer to book your work Christmas party, but there is no time like the present (pardon the pun!). We’ve spoken to venues up and down the country and they’ve let us in on a few top tips with organising your next Christmas party.
Did you know that 42% of clients already have their Christmas party budget approved, but still haven’t booked their date for their event!
With a majority of 2021 Christmas party booking being postponed due to the pandemic last year, dates for 2022 have started to cause availability issues to accommodate for the postponements. Unfortunately this will mean there will be slight disappointment for some companies and you may not get your preferred date.
As a result of the above, November could now be the way forward to hosting your festivities. Not only will there be a higher chance of availability in November, but venues may come at a lower cost to hire as it may be out of peak times.
What To Look for in a Venue for Your Christmas Party?
1. Location
The location you choose needs to be convenient for all parties. Choosing a venue that is close to public transport, or an airport (if guests are flying in), and offers overnight accommodation onsite or nearby, especially if drinks are involved) is vital.
2. Price
This is always a big factor as the venue must comfortably meet the budget requirements. It’s very typical for all costs to not be considered, often leading to an over spend.
3. Extras & Additions
Venue rentals are not the only expense that you need consider, it’s important to research the venue’s own policies beforehand. Some venues may include tables, and chairs in the venue cost, but some may also charge.
