Event Overview
Work with your team and combine your DIY skills for a unique challenge: building fun feeding devices for monkeys in an animal shelter. Together, you’ll measure, cut and assemble the frames, placing boomer balls inside before drilling everything together. As the monkeys lift and lower the balls, food will fall into the tray below, providing the them with nourishment and mental stimulation.
This is just one example of the animal enrichment devices you could create in the Paws for a Cause charity activity. Split into teams, each group will design and build a practical and functional item tailored to the specific needs of the animal charity you are supporting, whether it be feeders, toys, furniture or agility equipment.
After the charity team building event, the completed items will be delivered to the shelter, sanctuary, wildlife park or zoo. The keepers will install the items in the animals’ enclosures, providing the animals with new tools to enhance their environment and welfare.
